Happy Friday my friends! Are are already at the end of April and the Fancy Friday design team is here with a new blog hop. Today our challenge was to create a project without a greeting.
Sometimes you need a card "just because". A card to write a little note to tells someone that you appreciate them or that you are thinking of them. I created two cards today that are just that.
CARD ONE
DOLCE DETAILS
- I watercolored a stripped background on the Soft Sky Cardstock with an Aqua Painter and Soft Sky Reinker.
- The circle behind the dragonfly is a punched 1-3/8" Circle Punch with Whisper White Cardstock. I used a Bone Folder to curl the cardstock like you would curling ribbon. I did it multiple times, in multiple directions. This loosened the fibers of the cardstock and let me pull it apart into two layers.
- The small dragonflies actually come as one Big Shot Thinlit that has 5 little dragon flies fused together. I used Paper Snips to cut out two for my card.
CARD TWO
DOLCE DETAILS
- The Emerald Envy vine was cut with the Flourish Thinlits. This thinlit had little flowers included on the die. I used Paper Snips to cut the flowers off so that I just had a vine for this project.
- I used a Sponge Dauber to add Pink Pirouette Ink to the Pink Pirouette cut flowers for texture and depth.
- The thread is a piece of Silver 5/8" Satin Ribbon pulled apart. Watch my video for this technique here:
