#TGIFC105 - 2nd Anniversary Celebration

You may remember when I blogged with the TGIF Challenges team each Friday. I stepped back from this team in November to prepare for my return to work (outside of the home). I loved being a part of the talented TGIF team and when they asked if I would be interested in joining them today for a special 2 year anniversary post as a special alumni guest, I could not resist!

DOLCE DETAILS

  • To ink the "Oh Happy Day" greeting - Use a Sponge Dauber to add ink to the rubber stamp. Start with Peekaboo Peach and add to the top of the stamp. Next use Flirty Flamingo, start where you stopped using Peekaboo Peach. Finish with Pool Party Ink.
  • The adorable tassel is from the Cupcakes & Carousel Embellishment Kit. You will die over all of the cute things in this set - trust me, you need to order it!
  • The Lace Doily was colored with a Sponge Dauber and Pool Party Ink.

I created this card just for you today. When I started to write this blog, I remembered that I had a Stampin' Bingo night that I created projects for using this Designer Series Paper and color combo. I can not find the photos from the event, but thankfully I had some pictures of some of the things I create. I thought I would share these with you too!

Each guest had a product swab bad and this was the bag tag. I added it to a Pool Party cardstock base and created a quick card. I hate to throw bag tags away, I always like to repurpose them this way.

Have you created a box in a bag before? This was one of my make and take projects at the class. If you google it I am sure you will find some great (easy) patterns out there!

Our second make and take was this gift card holder. I give a lot of cash and gift cards for birthday projects so I love little packages like this.

This beauty was inspired from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue. They had a similar version in the publication and I just had to try to make one for myself. The base of the ice-cream cart is made from two White Gift Boxes (yes - from Stampin' Up!). I used Tear Tape Adhesive to stick them together and then wrapped them with Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper.

The canopy was a bit tricky ... I used candy sticks from a craft store. Two were full length and hot glued to the top of the back side of the cart. Two were cut down slightly and glued to the front side of the cart. In both cases I used a Hot Glue Gun. The trick was to add a small, neat, bead of glue and then hold the stick in place until it set.

The canopy top was a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 6-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" long. You will need to score it at 1/2" and then at 3-1/2" to get the folds for the canopy front and back. To decorate the canopy, cut strips of Whisper White cardstock and Designer Series Paper to 1" x 4-1/4". Use a Circle Punch to round off the ends of each strip (any size circle punch will do). Use Tombo Multipurpose Glue to add the strips to the canopy and fold on your score lines. Use a Hot Glue Gun to add the canopy top to your cart.

It was so great to stamp with the TGIF Challenge today. I can not wait to see that the design team and all of the talented followers create this week for this celebratory challenge!

Have a creative day,
