The third Monday of January ... Blue Monday. The most depressing monday of the year. I have heard that it is because Holiday credit card bills are due. When I googled it, Wikipedia told me that it has been calculated to be the most depressing day of the year from these factors: "weather conditions, debt level (the difference dept accumulated and our ability to pay), time since Christmas, time since failing our news year's resolutions, low motivational levels and feeling of a need to take an action".
I have had my share of blue mondays, blue tuesdays, blue wednesdays ... too many blue days. If you are having a blue day today please know that you are not alone. Someone loves you. Someone needs you. I have been very blessed over the years to have many friends listen. I know that it can be hard to talk but, from experience, I can tell you that sometimes they do not even know you are struggling. We become very good at acting like everything is perfect, when on the inside we are suffering. As hard as it may be, please talk to someone. Know that you are loved.
