My heart broke a tiny bit this weekend. On Saturday Santa came from the North Pole to do a mini photo session with a local photographer. Our two youngest children were very excited to go see the jolly old elf and get a picture taken. Jaleena, our 10 year old, was quite the opposite. She could have cared a less about seeing Santa. She told us that it was for little kids and informed us that it was not the real Santa anyway (it was just his helper).
Can I can hold onto any hope that she still believes? Or is she just telling me what I want to hear? What age does this all start to come up? Nonetheless, we agreed that she would write a letter and would skip the Santa visit. The photos of the other two kids are amazing and beyond adorable. I just wish that she was in them. Being a parent is about picking your battles and this one I let slide. Why can't they stay full of wonder and awe forever? Sigh.
I think that my card today is fitting for the weekend that we had! It was inspired by Global Design Project Challenge GDP063. Wouldn't you want to take an adventure and travel to the North Pole! I sure would!
Thank-you for visiting! I hope that you have a creative day and find some time to craft this week. If you are stamping, take the GDP challenge and play along! Read challenge details over at the GDP.
