Gold Sequin Medallion Card

This weekend is very exciting for our family! All of our kids are going to be in a wedding party today!! The girls are flower girls and our son is a ring man (or so he says). They have been counting down to this day for months! All the finishing touches are in place and we are ready for a beautiful day. Here is hoping that they cooperate to walk down the isle and take a few pictures with the bride and groom. Cross your fingers and toes for me! I will post pictures next week. They are just going to be too cute for words!!

A wedding this special needed a fabulous card! 

My inspiration started for this card with the Gold Sequin Trim ... I love it so much! I actually secretly wish that I had a shirt made out of it! I used a Jumbo Sticky Rounds to spiral the Gold Sequin Trim around. It made this to-die-for gold medallion!

DIY Gold Sequin Medallion

Gold Sequin Trim   132983   $6.50

I centered one Jumbo Sticky Round on a piece of grid paper with the
red side down to the grid paper.
Remove the white backing from the Jumbo Sticky Round.
Tape the Jumbo Sticky Round to the grid paper with scotch tape.
Stick the Gold Sequin Trim to the center of the Jumbo Sticky Round.

Keep spiraling around and around. 

When you are done peel the Sequin medallion from the red backing.
Tuck the string from the Gold Sequin Trim around to the back of the Jumbo Sticky Round.

Next I punched a piece of Vanilla card stock with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.

Simply stick the medallion to the punched circle and it is ready for use on your card.

 

Do you love the gold twine tucked behind the wee love banner? What is that you ask? I pulled the gold cord out of the Gold Baker's Twine!!! I did not invent this technique ... I know I saw it somewhere at Leadership in January. I wish I could remember who to pass the credit onto!
