The first card we did was this Fabulous Swallow Tail Card:
The Swallow Tail was stamped in Smoky Slate on Whisper White Cardstock. Ink your sponge in Crisp Cantaloupe ink and rub inside the wings at the center of the butterfly near his body. Next ink your sponge in Calypso Coral and sponge the outer edge of the wings. Can you see the silver detail accent in his wings? This fun technique was done by dipping a blender pen into a Silver Encore Ink Pad and coloring the pattern on the wing.
The second card was this Chalk Talk Tag Card:
The bread tag has a two tone blue effect. This was done by inking the stamp in Coastal Cabana ink. Do not stamp it on your card stock just yet. First, ink a sponge with Island Indigo ink and apply the darker blue ink around the edges of the rubber stamp. Now stamp on Whisper White Cardstock.
The edges of the card were sponged with Sahara Sand Ink to distress the Whisper White Cardstock.
Are sponges a "must have" in your tool kit?
